Forecast Overview

Add forecast
Opens a form to create a new forecast configuration.

Restart app
Restarts the Forecast app, e.g., after changes to a configuration.

Removes the Forecast app completely from the project.

Starts or stops the forecast.

Forecast status
Indicates whether the forecast is currently Active or Inactive.

Asset GAI
The Global Asset Identifier of the assigned asset.

Forecast length
Indicates how many steps into the future are predicted.

Context length
Number of historical values used for the forecast calculation.

Target attribute
The attribute of the asset that is predicted (e.g., temperature).

Remove configuration
Deletes the individual forecast configuration.
Create a New Forecast

Click on [A] Add forecast. ▷ The Add Forecast form opens.
In the [A1] Select Asset field, select the desired asset whose attribute you want to predict.
In the [A2] Target Attribute field, select the attribute that should be predicted.
In the [A3] Input Attribute field, select a Feature Attribute. ◈ Feature Attributes are supporting input variables that improve the model in calculating the forecast.
If needed, add more Feature Attributes via [A5] Add Attribute or remove existing entries via [A4] Remove Attribute.
In the [A6] Forecast Length field, enter the number of prediction steps. ◈ This determines how far into the future is predicted (e.g., 12 time units).
In the [A7] Context Length field, enter the number of historical data points that the model should use for the calculation.
Click on [A8] Save to create the new forecast. ▷ The configuration is saved and appears in the list.
