Set up Control Edge
Control Edge – Control and Automation with Eliona and Niagara
The Control Edge is an interface between Niagara-based automation systems and Eliona. It enables bidirectional communication, so that control logic, sensor data, and alarms can be synchronized directly between Niagara and Eliona. This allows for seamless integration into modern building automation systems.
Installation and Connection
For the connection of Niagara to Eliona, only two simple steps are required:
Install the Niagara-Eliona module
The Niagara module file and the corresponding license can be requested directly from Eliona.
The module is simply copied into the
modulesfolder of the Niagara installation.
Generate an API Key in Eliona
To establish the connection to Eliona, an API Key must be created in Eliona. → API Key Creation

The Niagara Control Edge connects automated building and industrial systems with Eliona. This allows data, controls, and alarms from Niagara to be visualized and analyzed in Eliona—and conversely, controls can be sent directly from Eliona to Niagara.
After setup, the synchronization runs automatically and enables seamless interaction between both systems. Assets, asset types, and the asset structure are automatically created and updated in Eliona. If an asset or its type does not yet exist, it is created without manual configuration. As a result, data points, controls, and alarms from Niagara are directly available in Eliona and can be used for visualizations, analyses, and automations.
