Eliona Broker – Function and Configuration
The Eliona MQTT Broker serves as the central interface for secure communication between IoT devices and the Eliona platform. It enables the reliable exchange of messages via the MQTT protocol and offers functions for authentication and encryption.
To ensure the security of the communication, SSL certificates can be stored. These ensure an encrypted connection and prevent unauthorized access to the data traffic. In addition, user accounts can be created to provide specific clients with access data.
Open Eliona Broker

To manage the MQTT connections, navigate to the connection settings and select the Eliona Broker.
Click on [A] Connection in the main menu.
▷ The overview of the available connections opens.
Select the [B] MQTT tab.
▷ The list of all configured MQTT connections is displayed.
Click on [C] Eliona Broker to open the configuration of the Eliona MQTT connection.
▷ The details for the connection are displayed, and you can make settings or add new connections.
Configure MQTT Broker

After opening the Eliona Broker, you can customize the MQTT connection by adding SSL certificates or user accounts.
Store SSL certificate
Click on [D].
▷ An input field appears, in which you can insert the SSL certificates and the private key.
Insert the certificate and the key in [E].
Confirm the entry.
Add users
Click on [F] +Account to create a new user with a username and password.
The new user is then displayed in the Account list [G].
Here, existing users can be deleted or edited.
