Change a User's Role

Customize Project Role

As explained in the previous chapter, you automatically give a user a role when you add them to a project.

You can adjust the role a user has in a project afterward.

  1. Click on Engineering [A]

  2. Make sure the Projects tab [B] is selected

  3. Click on the user whose role you want to adjust [C]

    ▷ The project settings open

    ▷ In [D], you can see all users assigned to this project

  4. For the user whose project role you want to adjust, click on [E]

    ▷ The Edit user window [F] appears

  5. In [G], select the role you want to assign to this user.

  6. Click on Save [H]

Why can't I adjust the project role in the user settings?

Users can have different roles in different projects. Therefore, you set which role a user has in this project in the respective project settings.

  1. Click on Engineering [A]

  2. Make sure the Users tab [B] is selected

  3. Click on the user whose role you want to adjust on [C]

    ▷ The user settings open

  4. For the user whose project role you want to adjust, click on [D]

    ▷ The Edit user window [E] appears

  5. In [F], select the role you want to assign to this user.

  6. Click on Save [G]
