📍Tracking
Eliona offers a comprehensive tracking functionality that enables the real-time localization and tracking of assets. This functionality is supported by the integration of Localino, an indoor localization system, and the use of a tracking widget. The following sections summarize the most important functions and configurations that are required to use these possibilities.
Activate Tracker Function
To register an asset as a tracker in the system and connect it with a Localino tracker, you must activate the tracker option in the asset modeling. This is done via the configuration of an asset template.
Step 1: Open Template Configuration Go to Engineering -> Asset Modeling and select the desired asset template. Edit the template settings to activate the tracker option.
Step 2: Activate Tracker Option Activate the tracker option to register the asset as a tracker in the system. Detailed steps can be found on the page Activate Tracker function.
Pin a Tracker to an Asset
The function "Pin a tracker to an asset" offers you the possibility to map the physical position of an asset exactly and automatically in the geographical asset structure. As soon as a tracker is pinned to an asset, it is marked in the structure with a blue dot , which makes it immediately recognizable as a tracked asset.
Assigning a Tracker

In the Asset Details you will find the "Tracker" [A] option, via which a tracker can be assigned to an asset. After the assignment, the asset is automatically displayed under the parent asset in the geographical structure, based on its actual, physical position.
Dynamic Position Adjustment

An important aspect of this function is that the position of the tracked asset cannot be changed manually in the geographical structure. Instead, the position of the asset adjusts automatically depending on where it is physically located. This dynamic adjustment ensures that the asset is displayed at its current, real position in the structure at all times.
Localino Integration
Localino enables the real-time tracking of assets on a floor plan. The implementation of the Localino data is done at the database level and is carried out by the Eliona support team.
Configuration of the Localino system As soon as the Localino service is configured, all devices can be linked with assets in your Eliona system and then used in the project. You can find more information under Localino configuration.
Configuration of Localino Anchors
The precise positioning of the Localino anchors is crucial for the correct functioning of the tracking system. Anchors can be adjusted afterward to ensure that their position matches the physical reality.
Calibrate and Position Anchors The calibration and positioning of the anchors are done via the floor configuration. You can find a precise guide under Configure Localino Anchors.
Create and Manage Rooms
The precise localization of trackers in individual rooms is made possible by the configuration of rooms within the floors.
Create and Assign Room Assets Create a room asset and assign it to a floor. Then define the room on the map. Detailed steps on this can be found under Set up rooms.
Using the Tracking Widget
The tracking widget enables the visualization of the tracker positions on the dashboard. It offers functions such as zooming in and out of the floor view, selecting a floor, and searching for and tracking trackers.
Widget Configuration To configure the tracking widget, add it to the dashboard, select the desired floor, and configure the display options. A detailed guide can be found on the page Configure Tracking Widget.
