Dashboard

Content of the chapter: Setting up and using dashboards

The dashboard is a graphical interface on which the most important, individually configurable building KPIs are displayed at a glance. All desired building information is displayed across interfaces and allows direct control of the connected systems. A dashboard can be composed with different widgets.

Instead of 100 different apps, plants, sensors and devices are monitored and controlled via 1 platform. With only one access, the overview is massively facilitated and facility management has a single point of information. In addition, interface problems can be bypassed, information from different protocols can be combined and evaluated together.

Example: You create a dashboard on which the current states of all blinds in your building are displayed. At the same time, you can use slider elements to control the blinds directly in your dashboard. In addition, you can display the weather and the current performance of the heating system on your dashboard.

Dashboard Overview

  1. Masonry: With the so-called Masonry layout, widgets are displayed in an appealing and space-saving way.

  2. Copy to user: You can assign an existing dashboard to another user. After you click , you can select which user to copy the dashboard from and which user will receive a copy. Learn more about this section in Copy Dashboards.

Dashboard List

Copy Dashboards

To make dashboards accessible to other users, you need to copy the dashboards. Dashboards of both apps and users can be copied and assigned.

  • Left column: First select between app or user dashboards. And then select the concerned owner or app with the desired dashboard.

  • Middle column: Select the dashboards that should be copied and assigned.

  • Right column: Selection of users to assign the selected dashboards.

Widgets

Build your dashboard with any widgets you want. To customize your dashboard, you can add various widgets. With the help of widgets, you have the possibility to display data from your building or to control the digital infrastructure. Here you can find an overview of all the elements you can use for your dashboard. For a description of the widgets, go to the widget list.

Add Widgets

Click Add Widget in your dashboard.

In the window that opens, all available widgets are displayed. In addition to the standard widgets, you have the possibility to create your own widgets. Learn more about this in the chapter "Custom Widgets". Custom widgets will also be displayed in the "Add Widgets" window.

The desired widget can now be configured. First, select an asset for the widget title and alarms (if an alarm is pending for the selected asset, it will be indicated on the widget). Click in the Asset field to bring up the list of existing assets and select the desired asset.

Each widget can display different data. See the Custom Widgets chapter for an overview and explanation of all the elements. The following example adds a widget that displays the water temperature:

Different values can be displayed in this widget. To display the operating status, click in the Value field and search the corresponding asset.

An asset can have different values (data points). After the asset has been selected, the desired display value of the asset can be selected.

For each widget, the asset and its attribute(s) must be selected and the format of the displayed value must be specified.

Custom Widgets

The custom widget can be named arbitrarily and designated with an icon from the icon library.

To the newly created widget, you can add the appropriate elements that were discussed earlier in the elements overview. To do that, you just need to click on the +.

The configurations of each item you can add to the newly created custom widget can be found in the widget list.
