For a user to be able to access a project, a project role must be assigned to him in the project. The project role determines which read and write permissions a user has in a project. To create a project role, click on Eliona Engineering and go to the "Roles" tab. Click on the top right and enter the name of the role. To configure the project role, click on the name of it in the list of project role on the left or .
After that, this window opens for configuring the project role. At the top left, you can select the default position of the project role. For example, for a project role "Service technician Kispi" Zurich would be entered. Below the default position, you will find the option to activate the expert mode. If this is activated, the role has access to all assets and objects that are linked to assets. Under the expert mode, you can see for which projects this project role is used. Nothing can be changed here. At the bottom left, the available asset tags are set. If you click on "Add tag", you can share the assets associated with the assigned tag to the role. On the right side, you can configure read access (eye) and write access (pen) of each Eliona feature individually.
The created project role must now be assigned to a user. Open Eliona Engineering and click on the "Projects" tab. Click on the desired project where you want to use the project role.
If the desired user does not yet have access to the project (does not appear in the list on the right) click and select the user and the desired project role. If the user does not exist at all yet, we have a guide on how to create a user here. If the user already has access to the project, and you only want to change the project role, click on the desired user in the list of users.
