OPC UA

OPC UA (Unified Architecture) is a modern standard that describes data transmission in industrial networks. It provides secure and reliable communication between devices and is at the same time hardware and platform independent, which enables data exchange between devices with different operating systems.

  1. Search endpoints: Click to search the for a specific endpoint.

  2. Create Endpoint: Click to create a new endpoint.

  3. Pause/activate endpoints: Click to pause/activate the endpoint. On the right you can see the status of the endpoint.

  4. Name: Name of the endpoint.

  5. Endpoint Address: Entered address of the endpoint.

  6. Remove Endpoint: Click to remove the endpoint.

  7. Configure Endpoint: Click > to configure the endpoint.

  1. Name: Enter the name of the endpoint.

  2. Path: Enter the path for the OPC UA communication.

  3. Encryption protocol: Select the desired encryption protocol.

  4. Security steps: Select the level of security measures. The options are none/login/login and encrypted.

  5. Username: Enter your username.

  6. Password: Enter your password.

  7. Save: Click the Save button to keep the changes.

  8. Connection Status: Shows the connection status of the subscription (active/paused).

  9. Documentation: Click to access this documentation.

  10. Subscriptions list: List of created OPC UA subscriptions.

  11. Create subscription: Click to create a new subscription.

  12. Subscriptions name: Name of the list of subscriptions.

  13. Asset types: List of asset types of the subscriptions.

  14. Number of Assets: Number of assets of the subscriptions.

  15. Number of Tags: Number of tags of the subscriptions.

  16. Remove Subscription: Click to remove the subscription.

  17. Configure Subscription: Click > to configure the subscription.

  1. Interval: Enter the interval in milliseconds.

  2. Remove Subscription: Click to remove the subscription.

  3. Change name: Click to change the name of the subscriptions.

  4. Save: Click to keep all changes.

  5. Server explorer: Folder structure of the OPC path. From here you can drag the variables from the structure and assign them to an asset attribute.

  6. Add asset type: Click to add an asset type to the data targets.

  7. Add Asset: Click to add assets to the Data Targets.

  8. Asset Type: Selected asset type.

  9. Asset: List of selected assets.

  10. Remove Asset: Click to remove the asset from the list.

  11. Change Asset: Click to change the selected asset.

  12. Asset Attributes: Here you can drag the variables from the server explorer. To remove the variable, you must click on the variable.
