BIM

Chapter content: BIM integration (Building Information Modeling)

PreviousMapNextDigital Twin

Last updated 1 year ago

Eliona is IFC compatible and can easily process data and map it to the Smart Building Assistant. Information up to BIM 7D can be implemented and everything that is necessary for the operation of the building, such as maintenance/operating instructions, warranty data, etc. This enables building operators to perform BIM-based maintenance and repair management.

Building Information Model is a multidimensional model of a building. In Eliona, BIM data (IFC) can be uploaded and assets can be placed in it.

BIM Overview

  1. Asset: List of all assets with stored BIM model.

  2. Add Folder: You can also build a hierarchy structure by adding folders and subfolders.

  3. Hamburger icon: Press and hold the hamburger icon to allow the object to be moved, for example, to another folder.

Assign Placement

Referencing

Using referencing, you can superimpose the BIM model and floor plan to display the data of the placed assets. For example, tracker assets that are placed in the floor plan are also displayed in the BIM model. To do this, select the asset of the floor in the Referencing menu and drag the floor plan exactly onto the BIM model so that it matches exactly.

After you click Referencing, select the asset of the respective storey.

Conclude with Save.

After the referencing has been saved, it is displayed in the BIM overview under the corresponding BIM model.

Open BIM: Click on in the navigation bar to open the BIM section. All saved BIM models are displayed.

Search: Click to open the filter options.

Add BIM: Click on the button to add a new BIM model.

Three-dot menu: Click to see more standard actions, as shown below:

Further details: Click to view the BIM model.

Delete: Click to delete the corresponding object.

Pencil icon: Click to rename the object.

Open a BIM model to continue placing assets in the BIM model and click . By default, all elements of the BIM model are displayed. Click the icon to show or hide any elements.

After that, click on .

Now perform the search of the asset to be placed in the BIM model and click (Number in the button corresponds to the amount of selected assets). After you have selected the asset, click on .

After you have selected the asset, you can proceed with placing the asset in the BIM model by clicking the mouse on the image exactly where you want to place the asset and then clicking .

Once the asset is placed, you can click on the asset to make the settings, for example, define the attribute. Click to save the settings.
