Digital Twin

Content of the chapter: Setting up a photorealistic digital twin by means of an image or a system diagram

PreviousBIMNextConnection

Last updated 1 year ago

With a photorealistic digital twin, you can virtually stand in front of the plant with just one click. You can monitor the operating status via linked assets, read out measured values (sensors or IoT devices) and access the plant directly. In addition, the technical documentation is stored centrally in a cloud.

The simple visualization of technical processes enables unqualified personnel to monitor one or more plants in a decentralized manner. The management effort is also reduced by the simplified process of a troubleshooting. In addition, documentation is always up-to-date and can be retrieved at any time.

The digital twin is an alternative to the BIM model. With a photo of your plant, you can see all the data and alarms of the plant components at a glance, and any faults can be localized quickly and easily.

Example: You store a photo of your ventilation system and display all values of the components in the digital twin. After you have received an alarm message of a malfunction, you open the digital twin and see at a glance which component has triggered an alarm, at which position of the plant it is located and which value it currently has. Now the pending malfunction can be easily and specifically fixed.
